Nike suggests consumers can set Siri Shortcuts to “the shoe’s most used individual characteristics.” With the color-changing characteristics of the Adapt Huaraches, you can also say, “Siri, change my lights to a peppy green.”
The Adapt Huaraches will be released via the Nike SNKRS app and select distributors on September 13th. There is no cost yet, but the self-lacing, Bluetooth-enabled Adapt BB sneakers retailed for $350. Shortly after they were released, the Adapt BBs ran into some difficulty when a poor Android update produced pairing problems, making it impossible to tighten or wear the sneakers. Siri is having a hard time understanding speech, so don’t be amazed when you ask Siri to unlace your shoes and it stars a Google search.
